Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Mahindra Humanities Center at Harvard

Zain Lakhani was awarded a 2015-16 postdoctoral fellowship from the Mahindra Humanities Center at Harvard. Zain defended her dissertation, "Becoming Sexual Subjects: Rape and the Political Meaning of Violence in the Age of Human Rights," last fall, and is currently a Postdoctoral Fellow in History and Human Rights at the University of California at Berkeley.  Her thesis committee consisted of Kathy Peiss (chair), Kathy Brown, and Serena Mayeri.
