Ayelet Brinn has been named the Rabin-Shvidler Joint Post-Doctoral Fellow in Jewish Studies at Fordham and Columbia, where she will turn her dissertation into a book. Her dissertation is entitled "Miss Amerike: The Yiddish Press’s Encounter with the United States"; her committee consists of Beth Wenger (chair), Kathy Peiss, Kathryn Hellerstein (Germanic Languages and Literatures), and Tony Michels (History, University of Wisconsin, Madison).
