In addition to the core requirements for the History Major, American History concentrators take at least 6 courses in American History. At least one of those six must be an upper-level seminar numbered HIST 2100-2199 or HIST 3100-3199. Students should consult with their faculty advisor each semester during pre-registration regarding the best courses for them to take the following semester. Two major-related courses from other departments (ex. ARTH, NELC, PSCI) may be used, and these must be approved in writing by your faculty advisor.
Note: for students graduating in the class of '22 and earlier, at least 4 of the American History concentration courses must be above the 200-level.
