The World History requirement is intended to expose students to an area of non-Western history.
In addition to the core requirements for the History Major, World History Majors take six courses in World History. One of those six must be a World History seminar between numbered between HIST 2100-3799. Students should consult with their faculty advisor each semester during pre-registration regarding the best courses for them to take the following semester. Two major-related courses from other departments (ex. ARTH, NELC, PSCI) may be used, and these must be approved in writing by your faculty advisor.
Note: World History Majors graduating in the class of '22 and earlier must take 4 upper-level courses (HIST 200 and above).
