Fall ’20 Advance Registration has been rescheduled to run from April 14-April 24, and the History Department is ready to help students plan their fall semesters! All Penn students are welcome to schedule a meeting with Dr. Fabella, the History Undergraduate Advisor, here.  History majors can seek advice from their History faculty advisors as well.

We’re especially excited to offer innovative courses from our newest faculty members.  Professor Anne Berg will offer a fascinating course on the “Origins of Nazism: from Democracy to Race War and Genocide,” HIST 134.  Professor Jared Farmer has designed an innovative new upper-level seminar, HIST 245, “Petrosylvania: Reckoning with Fossil Fuel.”  And if the COVID pandemic has you wanting historical perspective on disease, Professor Alex Chase-Levenson’s HIST 314 “Victorian Britain: Spaces, Places and Pests” will do the trick.  A complete list of fall History courses and their descriptions can be found on the History website courses page.

Finally, stay tuned for a new way to explore the undergraduate History curriculum: a fun, web-based app to be released this week that will help students and advisors with course selection and planning!
