Chelsea Chamberlain was recently published in the Society for Historians of the Gilded Age and Progressive Era's series exploring the lived experience of the 1918 influenza pandemic. Chelsea's piece, " "An Avalanche of Unexpected Sickness': Institutions and Diseases in 1918 and Today", discusses the impact of the 1918 pandemic on the Pennsylvania Training School for Feeble-minded Children at Elwyn and its relationship to our current COVID-19 pandemic.
