Roberto Saba (Penn History Ph.D., 2017) winner of the American Historical Association 2022 Albert J. Beveridge Award in the history of the United States, Latin America, or Canada, from 1492 to the present

The American Historical Association (AHA) just announced the winners of the 2022 Prizes and Awards.  The winner of the Albert J. Beveridge Award in the history of the United States, Latin America, or Canada, from 1492 to the present, is Roberto Saba (Wesleyan University), for American Mirror: The United States and Brazil in the Age of Emancipation (Princeton Univ. Press, 2021).

Roberto Saba (PhD History UPenn), defended his dissertation in 2017.  His committee was: Prof. Steve Hahn (Advisor); Prof. Stephanie McCurry, Prof. Eiichiro Azuma; and Prof. Angela Alonso (University of São Paulo).
