Jordan Ross is a joint doctorate student with the Department of History and the Graduate School of Education. His research focuses on the history of African-American education, texts, and archives during the 19th and early 20th centuries. As a developing scholar, Jordan situates himself within the fields of African-American History, American Print Culture, and Digital Humanities.

Before coming to Penn, Jordan studied the history of HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) as a graduate student at the University of Michigan.
