Maylis is a Howard S. Marks Postdoctoral Fellow and invited lecturer at the University of Pennsylvania. She is also Scientific Collaborator at the department of economic and financial history at Université Libre de Bruxelles. She held previous visiting positions at the department of Economics of Rutgers University, at the Faculty of History at Oxford University and was an intern at the Bank of France. She holds a PhD in International Economics and History from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies, Geneva. Her research interests are money and banking, especially international currencies and central banking history.
