The Department of History recognizes every year the best research papers written in history courses, as well as the best honors theses.
In anticipation of next year's awards, students are invited to submit research papers for consideration.

The Lynn M. Case Prize for outstanding thesis in European history
The Thomas C. Cochran Prize for outstanding thesis in U.S. history
The Hilary Conroy Prize for outstanding thesis in World history
The Jeannette Nichols Prize for outstanding undergraduate research paper in Women's history or Social history
The James V. Saporito Memorial Prize for outstanding thesis in intellectual or cultural history
